I save things. A lot of things. But especially images. Being inundated by images at every turn, we sometimes take for granted the fact that we have unprecedented (historically speaking) access to so many beautiful images. Photographs from newspapers, illustrations in magazines (I could fill books and books with clippings of those tiny New Yorker spot illustrations), postcards from art shows: these are things we can cherish. These are things we can paste in our idea-books, tack up on our walls, send to friends, pin onto our curtains. Why not surround ourselves with things we find to be beautiful?
